Appointment Supervisor responsible for the overall supervision of the administrative areas/functions/staff of appointments to ensure quality in the services provided by assigned areas, functions and staff; to help attain KKESH and OPS goals.
Supervises assigned areas/functions/staff in an effective and efficient manner. |
Ensures that all patients seen in OPS, ER and Screening Clinic receive appropriate and accurate appointments, as requested by the physician. |
Coordinates with all medical staff to ensure that all POST-OP patients receive appropriate appointments before they are discharged from the hospital. |
Develops, implements and monitors staffing schedules and work practice methods to ensure that the Appointments area functions appropriately and effectively. |
Ensures all patient concerns and issues in assigned areas are listened to in an immediate basis, and steps are taken to remedy the concerns/issues, as appropriately and/or necessary. |
Ensures Appointments area activities are well organized and staffed. |
Ensures that patient documents are appropriately filed and that patients are provided appropriate privacy while interacting with the Appointments staff. |
Maintains records for staff activities as directed by the Director, OPS, and prepares statistical reports for assigned areas/functions, as appropriate/necessary. |
Advises OPS Director of significant issues, concerns, etc. regarding operational activities of Appointments area. |
In coordination with the OPS Director, develops, implements and maintains on a current basis any necessary/appropriate policies and procedures, and other work related forms and schedules regarding Appointments areas/functions. |
Maintains appropriate liaison with other OPS and KKESH services/departments to ensure appropriate coordination of efforts to meet KKESH and OPS goals. |
Develops, implements and maintains, on a current basis, a staff member Orientation Program for assigned areas/functions/activities, and ensures that such program and mandatory classes are attended by the staff. |
Participates in developing, implementing and maintaining, on a current basis, a Staff Training Program that ensures all assigned clerical staff are trained to complete their assigned duties and provides mechanism for assessing assigned staff members’ competencies following training. |
Ensures performance assessments are conducted in a timely manner for all assigned staff. |
Initiates and follows-up on corrective action measures regarding assigned staff member’s performance/ Attendance as necessary and in coordination with the OPS Director. |
Attends and actively participates in OPS management staff and other meetings. Promotes and maintains effective communication processes, within, and beyond OPS. |
Conducts regular meetings for assigned staff and documents such meeting activities. |
Recommends staffing, operational equipment, supply, physical facility and other needs to the OPS Director. |
Performs all duties in a professional, effective, courteous and confidential manner. |
Performs all other duties as required and/or assigned. |
المتطلبات والمسؤوليات
Two (2) years Diploma in Hospital/ Business Administration or equivalent from an accredited institute with minimum of four (4) years’ experience in related field (Essential).
OR,
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management or equivalent from an accredited institution with minimum of two (2) years’ experience in related field (Desirable).
