Visits patients to seek preferences, dislikes and tolerances. |
Updates production sheets and menus with the information obtained as above. Prepares production sheets and meal census. |
Updates patients’ diet through the TrakCare system. |
Checks diet list from Trak Care and prepares menus for patients and guests as per diet orders withholding Nothing Per Oral (NPO) trays. |
Modifies menus according to patient preference and/or diet prescription. Prepares snack orders for inpatients and outpatients. |
Supervises tray line to insure accuracy of trays and quality of services. Monitors meal distribution for accuracy and utilization of meals assembled and seeks patient satisfaction of meals served. |
Prepares daily, weekly and monthly reports and identifies trends for improvement. |
Participates in meal rounds, tray assessment, patient satisfaction surveys, Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) and other Quality Improvement activities. |
Assists in heading menus, photocopying, telephone answering, filing and other diet office work. Monitors and maintains supply of menus and forms in the diet office. |
Updates patient nutritional needs and eliminate foods that cannot be tolerated due to allergies in the Trak Care. |
Participates in training of dietary Interns, clinical staff and catering staff in regard to HACCP and Quality improvement activities. |
Conducts Basic Ophthalmic Nursing Orientation (BONO) for food and nutrition services. |
Participates and contributes in nutrition awareness campaigns and seminars. |
Performs daily inspection of kitchen sanitation, food handling and food preparation by catering staff as part of HACCP. |
Monitors the performance of catering staff for accurate and timely preparation of snacks, beverage service and VIP services. |
Performs all duties in a professional, effective, and confidential manner. |
Performs all other duties as required or assigned. |

4. Qualifications: |
Education / Experience/ Licensure: |
Bachelor's Degree in Clinical Nutrition, Dietetics or equivalent from an accredited university (Essential). |
Classified and Registered by the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS) (Essential). |
Professional Experience: |
Minimum of one (1) year experience in healthcare setting or food services (Essential). |
5. Qualifications: |
