Responsible for ensuring safe, effective, and evidence-based medication use through clinical review, consultation, and participation in multidisciplinary rounds, aligned with institutional and regulatory standards.

Qualifications
1. Education/ Licensure/ Professional Experience:
1.1. Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Bachelor degree in Pharmacy from an accredited university with completed Postgraduate Year One (PGY1) Residency with two (2) years of experience, or Postgraduate Year Two (PGY2) Residency in Clinical Pharmacy (Essential).
OR
1.2. Master’s degree in Clinical Pharmacy from an accredited university with two (2) years’ experience of clinical experience (Desirable).
1.3. Valid license and registration with the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS) as a Clinical Pharmacist (Essential).
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

Provides clinical consultation and clarification to practitioners during ward rounds and ambulatory clinics; recommends evidence-based pharmacotherapy and monitoring plans. |

2. |
Reviews and verifies medication orders to ensure accuracy, appropriateness of dosing, and safe administration routes. |
|
3. |
Designs, recommends, activates, and evaluates patient-specific pharmacotherapy plans to ensure optimal therapeutic outcomes. |
|
4. |
Assists medical staff in selecting appropriate drug therapy and monitoring parameters. |
|
5. |
Serves as a clinical information resource for physicians, nurses, pharmacists, and allied health professionals. |
|
6. |
Acts as a drug information and education resource for patients, residents, and healthcare staff. |
|
7. |
Documents therapeutic recommendations and interventions in the medical record per hospital policy. |
|
8. |
Supports formulary management and therapeutic restriction compliance according to KKESH&RC policies. |
