Job Description
The Strategy and Project Office Director is responsible of planning, developing and executing business strategies and monitoring projects of KKESH. Drive organizational change as necessary to support the successful implementation of strategic initiatives. Build and maintain relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, partners, and industry influencers.
Requirements and Responsibilities
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Engineering, Information Technology or equivalent with Minimum of ten (10) years’ experience working in strategy and project management or related field, three (3) years of which in managerial level (Essential).
OR,
Master Degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Engineering, Information Technology or equivalent with a minimum of eight (8) years’ experience working in strategy and project management or in related field, three (3) years of which in managerial level (Essential).
Membership of Project Management Institute PMI or equivalent (Essential).
Specialized Knowledge:
Knowledge of:
Techniques, methods, and application of Projects Management. (Essential)
Strategic planning, Risk management and/or change management (Essential).
Statistical, analytical and quantitative techniques (Essential).
Standards and regulations of Ministry of Health and JCIA, CBAHI. (Desirable)
Computer literate and familiar with MS-Office programs and applications (Essential).
Fluency in oral and written English language

Develop and refine the organization's strategic plan, in collaboration with Chief Executive Officer and Senior Leadership team, to set clear objectives, priorities, and performance metrics. |

Identify and assess potential strategic initiatives, projects, and partnerships that align with the organization's strategic goals. |
|
Lead cross-functional teams in the planning, execution, and monitoring of strategic initiatives, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget. |
|
Anticipate potential challenges and risks associated with strategic initiatives and develop proactive mitigation plans. |
|
Build and maintain relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, partners, and industry influencers. |
|
Facilitate communication and negotiation with leadership and other key strategy stakeholders, including regular reports and strategy progress meetings |
|
Utilize data-driven insights to inform decision-making, measure progress, and adjust strategies as needed. |
|
Optimize resource allocation by identifying and prioritizing high-impact initiatives and allocating budgets and personnel accordingly. |
|
Foster a culture of innovation within the organization by exploring new technologies, business models, and market trends. |
|
Drive organizational change as necessary to support the successful implementation of strategic initiatives. |
|
Provide regular updates and reports to the chief executive officer on the status and impact of strategic initiatives. |
|
Promote and maintain standards and tools for the strategy and project management, with the goal of delivering every project on time, within budget and within scope. |
|
Oversee creation and maintenance of project scope documents to ensure effective planning and define and manage risks, performance, roles, resources, communications, and quality. |
|
Manage, coach and mentor project managers to successfully plan, coordinate and execute projects. |
|
Participate in designing and implementing training and development programs for strategy and project management. |
|
Ensure work is in alignment with policies and procedures and supporting mission, vision and values of KKESH. |
|
Performs all duties in a professional, effective and confidential manner. |
|
Performs all other related duties as required or assigned. |
