Job Description
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Supervises personnel engaged in maintaining the Hospital in a clean and orderly condition. |
|
2. Prepares assignment sheets and assigns housekeepers to their respective assignments. |
|
3. Submits work orders to the Manager of Environmental services. |
|
4. Confers with floor Nurses unit manager and other department supervisors regarding housekeeping services and requirements. |
|
5. Recommends housekeepers for commendation or disciplinary action as appropriate. |
|
6. Assists in training housekeeping personnel in the use and care of supplies and equipment and the proper techniques and procedures of housekeeping tasks. |
|
7. Observes quality and quantity of work of all personnel assigned, completes daily quality assurance inspection reports, making necessary corrections as required. |
|
8. Prepares and maintains records of cleaning activities on a daily basis. |
|
9. Supervises movement of furniture/equipment within the hospital. |
|
10. Responsible for general cleaning duties in an assigned area as directed. |
|
11. Performs all duties in a professional, effective, courteous and confidential manner. |
|
12. Performs all other duties as required and/or assigned. |
Requirements and Responsibilities
Qualifications
Education/ Licensure/ Professional Experience:
High School Certificate with minimum of two (2) years’ experience in related field (Essential)
