Job Description
Responsible for managing the functions of the Safety Section at KKESH&RC, providing a reliable and efficient operation with compliance of quality and safety standards such as JCI, CBAHI, OSHA, NFPA…etc., that ensures the work environment is free from foreseeable safety risks and implements risk reduction activities.

Participates in Safety services strategic and operational planning. |
|
Prepares unit budget in accordance with KKESH&RC requirements. |
|
Updates and maintains hospital-wide safety policies and procedures. |
|
Implements the hospital-wide general safety program. |
|
Plans, implements and coordinates safety educational programs, to include in-services and safety training. |
|
Manage the process of workplace inspections and risk assessments to identify and mitigate safety hazards. |
|
Advises all employees on safety, regulations, codes and standards based on the latest JCI standards and CBAHI. |
|
Constantly reviews JCIA and CBAHI standards and updates, and ensures that policies and procedures are updated and implemented to reflect new requirements. |
|
Reviews and recommends solutions for all safety related incident reports and follow-up on all accidents and incidents, in coordination with all concerned parties. |
|
Observes and monitors contractor’s performance from safety perspective, and takes the necessary action. |
|
Maintains and updates the Emergency Preparedness Plan, Safety Manual, Hazardous Surveillance Program and Safety Policies and Procedures. |
|
Investigate accidents and incidents to determine root causes and recommend corrective and preventive actions and report the findings to the Director of Facility Management and Safety. |
|
Prepares written reports and statistical analyses on hospital-wide safety activities and problems for submission and presentation to the Environment of Care Committee. |
|
Reviews maintenance requests and approves them when requested. |
|
Maintain accurate safety records, including incident reports, training logs, inspection checklists, and compliance documentation. |
|
Performs all duties in a professional, effective, courteous and confidential manner. |
|
Performs all other duties as required and/or assigned. |
Requirements and Responsibilities
Qualifications:
- Education/ Licensure/ Professional Experience:
Bachelors’ Degree in Safety and Occupational Health, Engineering or equivalent from an accredited university with minimum of eight (8) years’ experience in related field, three (3) years of which in senior level (Essential).
OR
Masters’ Degree in Safety and Occupational Health, Engineering or equivalent from an accredited university with minimum of six (6) years’ experience in related field, two (2) years of which in senior level (Desirable).
Safety Certification such as OSHA, CHSP, NFPA, NEBOSH (Desirable).
Registered with the Saudi Council for Engineers (Essential).
