Staff Radiologist – Senior Consultant

Job Description

Responsible for provision of medical care, teaching, and research as required. Liaises with medical, nursing, technical staff and other clinical services.

Requirements and Responsibilities

  • Education / Licensure/ Professional Experience:
    • Bachelor Degree of Medicine and Surgery from an accredited university in the country of professional practice (Essential).
    • Should have an American Board, FRCS, Saudi Board or equivalent (Essential).
    • Should have a postgraduate Diploma in in Radiology (Essential).
    • Should have at least seven (7) years of clinical experience after completion of postgraduate Diploma in Radiology (Essential).
    • Classified and Registered by the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (Essential).
  • Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

1.

Recognizes and takes appropriate corrective action (including request of consultation).

2.

Maintains an accurate record of the Radiology through TrakCare/ Innovian/ Workstation.

3.

Develop working relationship between department members.

4.

Developing, implementing, and maintaining policies and procedures; administrative oversight.

5.

Maintaining any necessary quality control program; Enhances the quality improvement programs and ensures the implementation of the standards in the department.

6.

Recommending outside sources of radiology and diagnostic imaging services; and monitoring and reviewing all radiology and diagnostic imaging services.

7.

Accountability to Medical Executive Committee, Chief Medical Officer, and Director of Diagnostic Imaging for all professional activities.

8.

Conducts professional activities in line with the Medical Staff Bylaws.

9.

Scope of professional activities within the extent of granted clinical privileges by the Credentials Committee and approved the Medical Executive Committee.

10.

Active attendance and participation in Medical Staff and Hospital Committees.

11.

Active participation in on-call, as designated.

12.

Carry out a variety of job related functions as assigned/requested by the Director of Diagnostic Imaging and/or the Chief Medical Officer, as required by circumstances.

13.

Performs all duties in a professional, effective and confidential manner.

14.

Performs all other related duties as required or assigned.
