Assists pharmacists in compounding, packaging, and distributing drugs; maintains related records. Principal Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Prepares medication as per print out labels upon legitimate physician order under the supervision of Pharmacists. 2. Fills nursing floor requests as assigned. 3. Assists in filling unit dose medication cassettes according to computerized reports generated daily. 4. Assists in exchanging medication cassettes according to departmental schedule. 5. Assists in the preparation of extemporaneous products, IV admixtures, and other sterile/ non-sterile products using approved procedures and techniques. 6. Assists in dispensing narcotic and controlled substances and maintains appropriate updated records. 7. Performs weekly, monthly and quarterly reports for narcotic and controlled substances as per MOH regulations. 8. Performs unit inspection for narcotic and controlled substances and regular medication as per assigned schedule. 9. Assists in stocking medication packaging automated system. 10. Collects medication orders and delivers filled orders to patient care areas. 11. Produces computer labels as required for packaging of Pharmacy products. 12. Assists in review of all stock for expired medications via established procedures. 13. Assists in maintaining appropriate records of all activities in the Pharmacy according to established policies and procedures. 14. Assists in maintaining appropriate stock levels in all work areas. 15. Assists in maintaining, filling and distributing unit medication stocks. 16. Performs daily check of stock requests as per established levels and inputs through oracle system. 17. Brings medication stocks from the warehouse or other areas (or outside KKESH) and distributes to all pharmacy areas as needed for patient care. 18. Maintains assigned work areas in a neat, clean and orderly manner. 19. Performs all duties in a professional, effective and confidential manner. 20. Performs all other related duties as required or assigned.
Qualifications Education / Licensure: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing in country of professional practice (Diploma from Western and similar countries, otherwise Bachelor’s Degree) (Essential). Current Licensed/Registered Nurse (RN) from country of professional practice (Essential). Valid Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS) Classification and Registration in good standing (Essential) Professional Experience: Saudi: Minimum of one (1) year working experience as a Registered Nurse in an acute health care / hospital setting (100 beds or more), and which spent in Medical/ Surgical/ Paediatrics/ Operating Room/ Post Anaesthesia Recovery Room/ High Dependency Unit/ Emergency Room areas (Desirable). Non- Saudi: Minimum of five (5) years working experience as a Registered Nurse in an acute health care/ hospital setting (100 beds or more), two (2) years of which spent in Medical/ Surgical/ Pediatric/ Operating Room/ Post Anaesthesia Recovery Room / High Dependency Unit/ Emergency Room areas (Essential).
